The name “tafv,” pronounced daa-fuh, translates to “feather” in the mvskoke or muscogee language spoken by the Creek and Seminole people. The owner, Alex, has Seminole origins, and the name’s uniqueness made it feel fitting for the company. The significance of the feather resonated, inspiring the company’s tagline, “Where creativity takes flight.”
Tafv Studios LLC officially established itself as a company in early 2023, but its roots can be traced back 10+ years. The owner and creative director, Alex, possesses a natural talent for traditional pencil-to-paper art and a keen eye for composition. Although he initially delved into photography during his senior year of high school, he further honed his skills by pursuing graphic design in college. Since then, Alex has cultivated expertise in graphic design, photography, and videography, website creation, and brand development.
A few years after college, Alex met and married Braidey. Braidey has a BA in English and a Master’s in Library and Information Science. Braidey became the company’s content writer. Fueled by their collective skills and passion, they let their faith take over, eventually leading them to embark on the entrepreneurship journey that gave rise to Tafv Studios. Together, they are proud parents of two beautiful daughters.
